I signed up for the Klaralund along today over at Froggy Knits .She is hosting this knitalong with Wendy of Wendy Knits fame. It should be great fun, and the sweater is just beautiful. A group of us here in Denver from the DenverKnits yahoo group are going to be knitting along together on this sweater. Our kickoff date is September 11. We are going to get together and have coffee at a local knit shop, compare color choices, look at swatches, and have a good time of course! Luckly I had enough Noro Kureyon in color #95, in my stash. I've been waiting to find just the right pattern to knit with this yarn. I love being excited about using up stash yarn. It's great.

Noro is such an amazing yarn. Seriously...I love the bright colors and the way it stripes up all by itself. I think that's what makes it so fun to knit with, I always wanted to make it to the next color! Previously I have made two felted christmas stockings out of Kureyon, they turned out great. I'm hoping that I can substitute Kureyon for Silk Garden though. It will be a trick to see if it will drape the right way because Klaralund looks very drappy in her picture. What do you think?
I think that September will be here before I know it so I need to get rolling on my other UFO's. And then it's next stop Klaralund!
Posted by Stacey at August 9, 2004 04:41 PMoh, what a great color! others are subbing kureyon for silk garden. its going to be gorgeous! and i'm on the same road as you. the road of finishing. don't know if i can get them all done, but i'll def try.
Posted by: froggy at August 10, 2004 03:35 AMI love the colour of Kureyon your using. Can't wait to see the pics once you start. A while back in your blog you mentioned an Aran poncho pattern that you loved but couldn't just buy the pattern. I happened to be checking for poncho patterns and came across this free one. It couldn't hurt to look, though I don't think it's the one you mentioned. http://tinyurl.com/6ddgo
I love the sheep needle gauge you bought. Thanks for the link (Aug.2 entry) for where to buy it.
