ROAK on!

So I joined the RAOK (Random Acts Of Kindness) webring recently, and man, everyone is so cool! It's awesome and encouraging just to watch knitters from all over giving to others. I want to give a BIG thank you to Carolina, Margene, and Danielle...all who sent me an RAOK in the last week! So encouraging!

The Cedar and Sage cuticle cream is from Margene, the bag of super-fun beads is from Carolina, and Danielle sent me a gift certificate for Adagio Teas where I bought a sampler of the fruit teas! Yummy, it should be here any day!!

So here's why the RAOK ring truly rocks...Tuesday night I was in a hurry and had to fill my car (a 2002 Turbo Diesel Beetle) with gas. I always check and double check to make sure that I put the right kind of fuel in, well...did I mention that I was in a hurry? Did I mention that I stopped at a Sinclair station where the handles are ALL green for some insane reason?! The diesel handles are yellow, I will never forget this now, it's burned into my brain! So I fill my diesel vehicle with unleaded fuel, pay, pull down the block, and lo and behold...my car stops running. Long story short, Triple A to the rescue, car gets hauled off, fixed by 5:00pm the next day, $500.00 later...holy crap! That was an expensive tank of gas! I hate it when I do stupid stuff. Wednesday wasn't much better. I hate it when I get down and can't seem to pull myself out of it. Remember when I was talking about how my weekend was so busy? I'm thinking it wore me out and I need to get more sleep, that's the only thing that I can think of.

Less late night blogging + more sleep = a happier person!

The only reason I'm even talking about this is that I received my RAOK's in the mail on Wednesday...just when I needed them! Thanks you guys...more than you know, you have touched my heart! (i just reread that last line, boy am I cheesey!) Seriously though, thank you, thank you!

OK...do you notice the time that I made this entry? The going to bed earlier, less late night blogging thing...that starts tomorrow I guess!!

Stacey - I'm glad you liked the beads...just small correction the name is Carolina.

I meant to give everyone a list of what they were getting but I spaced on it. The large brownish red beads are Carnelian, blue are dyed quartz, the montana blue are Czech, and I forget what else is in there. But if you'd like to know just drop me a note.

Take care!

So sorry to hear about your car. Ouch!!
I realized how much knitting has impacted my life because when I read your story the first thing I thought of was "that's really going to eat into the yarn budget".
Hope you have a restful weekend! Next week will be better.

Ouch .... that was spendy gas. I am sorry for your misfourtune there.

I had to comment on it because in Oregon we don't pump our own gas so it took me a minute to figure out why you were touching the gas station stuff. I am a dork and i am glad you like the tea I love it.

wig on.
