Hallowig anyone?

By now everyone has been to see the new Knitty, isn't it fabulous!?! I know you all secretly want to knit that certain fun, over the top project...you were intrigued by the hot pink acrylic yarn, admit it! But you are a confessed yarn snob (according to question #1 on the Secret Pal questionaire) what will people think?

Come on, don't be shy, knit a Hallowig with us! Missa and I are going to co-host this little shindig! Go over to Hallowig Central and check us out. Put down that fancy fair isle, set aside that felted bag, grab that skein of hunting orange that your grandma gave you years ago and knit a wig!! Whoo hoo!! (can you tell I'm extremely excited to be hosting my first knit-a-long?!) I'm going to find the brightest and pinkest yarn tomorrow...I can't wait!

We're going to be knitting along on our wigs until Halloween...those of you who don't have a blog can still join in and post photos on the knit-along site, and we encourage bloggers to put photos there too, so we can all see whats going on all in one place! (great idea Missa!!)

How cute! I've been wanting to make this project... let's see if I can get my hands on some yarn to join up. Oddly enough, it's hard to get Lion Brand/Red Heart stuff in Manhattan. Thanks for setting up a Knit-Along!

This is fabulous! I was wanting to knit the hallowig and now I have a great incentive. Thank you for hosting the knit-along!

I just scrolled down and saw the picture of the kitty with the capelet! THAT IS FUNNY! I laughed out loud. I think my cat's will need one!

Stacey! Are your scissors Ginger? White porcelain handles with pinky flowers? If they are, then I have...excuse me, HAD the same ones!
Lost my second pair at the airport on the way to Fargo!
Good job on the knit-a-long! I'd join you, but, I'm not sure It's "Me!" I also found another good source for yarn for that Pam Allen scarf...woolconnection.com. but you have to order their free catalog and find it there. Have a great night!

Hi Stacey! I'm giving in, I'm joining, too ... the question is: are you going to use your leftover silk garden? Or cheapo acrylic? Or a combo??

Take care!

Thanks for hosting this. I was thinking about a Hallowig along. This is perfect. I'm already 4 inches into it.
