My friend RayLynn, after seeing my colinette scarf for my mom, wanted to make one for her mom! So last Friday she bought a skein of Kidsilk Haze and 2 skeins of some kind of Gedifra yarn. Here's the progress she made when we got together at Panara to knit and catch up(if you look closely at the bottom of the screen, you can see my Wavy scarf that I worked on) I also "planned out" my flower pin for the Flower Swap:

She is about half finished, here's a closeup...and she'll probably finish before I do. Why? Is it because she knits so much faster than me? Probably not, but we determined that she tends to knit on one project until she completes it, whereas I usually have multiple projects going on at once. I know that I have said this before but I'm really going to try to get my WIP's under control.
Here are the project's that I have in process right now:
•Mom's Koigu Wristlet's, they're about 80% done.
•Collinette Scarf
•Klaralund
•Salt Peanuts...which I put down so long ago that I need to really sit down and think about where I am in the pattern! I hate it when I don't make good notes!
•Felted Clogs for Genia
•Wavy Scarf
•Thrum Mittens
•Mini Weasley's
•Flower Swap Pin
•and finally...my Poetry in Stitches sweater.
My goal is to get this list under control and some of these almost finished projects done!!! I know that I can do it...I can! (do you hear the desperation in my voice? I'm trying to convince myself) You know this list doesn't include the projects that I have put on hold indefinitely, they don't count, right? ;-)
I feel you on your Salt Peanuts dilemma! That happens to me all the time. The last time it occurred, I stopped a project that only had about 30 minutes' worth of knitting left to start something else that I thought I just had to start RIGHT THEN. How stupid!
Posted by: Dani at December 12, 2004 10:55 AMI'm so sorry....I am such a moron. I thought you said that you would stop by AKP yesterday if you thought you could make it, and then I read your e-mail today that said you wanted me to call. :P I'm sorry, we didn't blow you off, I promise! I hope you had a good weekend- it looks like you've been productive! See you Tuesday!
Posted by: Cathi at December 12, 2004 12:21 PM"My" scarf looks wonderful, as does RayLynn's! I can't wait to wear it, whenever it gets completed. Love, Mom
Posted by: Marsha at December 12, 2004 01:10 PMI've been a lurker for a while, but I have to say- no wonder your friend did the same scarf! Yours is so pretty, and I think I may have to jump on the bandwagon, too- that is, as soon as my own list whittles down a bit. Love your blog!
