Life happened...

When I have been really busy, I don't have as much time to knit, and that in turn doesn't give me much to blog about. I hate this cycle!! But...there has been some knitting in the last week, I went to the Littleton Meetup last Tuesday. (see sidebar) We had our largest group yet, with 11 people showing up...it was great fun as always, and is quickly becoming one of my favorite nights of the month! Skip ahead to Friday night, I went to Cathi's house to knit and I met another Colorado knitter/blogger, Jon and his friend that some of you might know as Brian "the Lurker". Cathi has some great pictures over at In The Pink since I seem to have misplaced the vital little cable to download pictures from my camera to my computer...aarrgghhh! Anyway...Saturday I spent the day with my friend RayLynn shopping for some clothes to wear on our trip to California! Yeah! I'm getting sooo excited! It's still over a month away and I can hardly control myself!!

*FYI* If you were my pal from the Secret Pal 3 program...I'd love to know who you are, because I think that you live in L.A. and it would be really fun to meet up in person when I come out there!!

Then came the swatching for my sockapalooza socks...normally I wouldn't spend much time swatching for a pair of socks, but I wanted to see the color knit up...and be sure about my pattern. Here is the color I chose, it's Interlacements 'Toasty Toes'. I love this yarn, and it's hand dyed in Colorado!

Sunday...Golden Globes...kind of a disappointment, I can't really put my finger on why though. Monday, I had the day off of work (yeah!) but I had an appointment with my skin doctor (not-so-yeah!) and my doc ended up taking off 2 abnormal moles...and giving me stitches. (definitely not-so-yeah!) So now I'm walking around like a little old lady, because I'm scared of popping the stitches that are on my shoulder blades. I never realized how much I actually move my shoulders in a day until now. And that's the recap of my week...exciting huh?

My goal this week: I'm AM going to post some finished Wavy scarf pictures!

Wow! I love the colors. Which colorway are you using? I have been searching for yarn for my sockapalooza buddy, and just checked out Interlacements. Thanks! I think I'll be ordering from them.

I'm thinking that it's color #206, Las Vegas Brights...but I'm at work and alas...the socks are at home! I'll post when I'm for sure on the exact colorway. My LYS also has a limited edition color called PAS...for Peggy Anderson Special, because that's the name if the owner! Some day I'll post a picture of my Interlacements stash...which is quite big since Judy, the dyer, lives in Colorado and has frequent trunk shows!!

I'm sorry you had to get some moles removed :P It was great hanging out, we definitely need to more often. I felt bad because Ray Lynn was so quiet in the corner- I hope that she had a good time too. O, and where did you get those tiny dpns? Have a great day!

I *LOVE* Interlacements yarns and have lots in my stash. The Las Vegas brights are really fun. If you ever get a chance to visit the studio (and the warehouse), you'll be in for a big treat and lots of temptation!

So the color of my Toastie Toes IS actually called P.A.S.P. and it's the special color that is only available from my knit shop! So Sockapalooza Pal...hope you like it!

-Don't feel bad, RayLynn is usually pretty quite, and she likes to just watch and listen, plus she gets in the knitting zone and doesn't talk that much!
-The DPN's are from A Knitted Peace, they carry alot of the shorter needles. I love the way they fit in my hand. DPN's are awkward enough in my small hands, so these really help!
