Lookie what I got!

I've been thinking about getting a new computer for a while now. I've had my green iBook for about 4 1/2 years, and little things keep happening, like the sound goes in and out, the battery is pretty much shot, etc. Little things that aren't that big of a deal, but when added up, are frustrating. (not to mention that Apple keeps coming out with really sweet computers and that has been highly tempting in and of itself) Sooooo, here's the new iBook...

I've just barely begun to play with it, and I was busy and sick most of the weekend. My brother-in-law is going to help me tonight with transfering all the files off my old computer to the new one!!! Yippee! I love my new iBook, now I just need to come up with a fun name, my green one was named Kermit 2.0 because, 1)it was green, the obvious answer and 2)it was the second green computer that I owned. I had one of the original light green iMacs, man I loved that computer! So let me know your thoughts on what I should name this one, and if I choose you I'll send ya a little something in the mail!

It sure is pretty! Snow White comes to mind-I have a thing for Disney Princesses. I've never tried a mac before (and my resident computer guy is against them, don't hate me) but they sure are cute!! :)

My first thought was Snow White as well. What about Frosty?

What about Casper?

Congrats on the iBook! I lurrrrve mine.

Hmmm, names. Well, considering that I have yet to come up with a good name for my own little iBook, ideas here are slim.

What about "pinky", just 'cause it's not. Or Blanche.

I think you should name your new iBook "Pandora". Pure and innocent, unassuming and chaste on the outside. But she's chock-full of ideas and surprises when you open the lid and boot her up! Just an idea...

Orbie...you should definitely call him Orbie!

Damn...Snow White, taken. Frosty...taken.

How about Niege ("snow" in French,,,minus the accent mark) or Marshmallow? Scooter Pie? Snowball? Twinkee?

Sorry. I haven't had breakfast yet. All I can think about is food. :)

How about "Chiclet," since that big white square reminds me of a piece of gum. Oh, or "Au naturel" (sp?), since it's not dressed up in color. :)
Congrats on your new toy!

Hmmm.... I'll have to think on that one. How about something Frenchie like "chou chou" (means "my little dear" in an endearing way), or something quirky like Arnold? But actually, I need to know: masculine or feminine?

How about "White Lighting" b/c its a bright white color and those mac are really fast now! I have had my iBook (it looks just like your only i think my monitor is bigger) and I love it! Good luck with the file transfer!

"I will call him George. I will love him and pet him and ....."

A la Bugs Bunny. Remember the cartoon growing up?

you are going to love your ibook! i actually watched a dvd on mine last night in bed, i love that!

as for the name, i love the suggestion marshmallow (ok this is pathetic, but i had an all white soccer ball in middle school that i named marshmallow, i still have it!). my own suggestion would be 'frenchy' i think. not really for the character in grease, more just because i like it!

congrats!

What about Casper?

No suggestions for names, but I LOVE my iBook. I would never go back to PC. I take it everywhere with me. When I was at my son's house in England, I just opened it up and it automatically connected with his wireless network and I was able to keep up with everyone back home. Have fun with it (and I love the suggestion of "Chiclet".

It definitly has to be a girl. I can't decide yet though...so many good choices, ummm...Blanche?! That's awesome! Chiclet...it totally looks like one! I like Frenchy, Niege, and Chou Chou just because I love all things French! Crap!! I can't decide...thoughts?!

My first thought was White Knight cause it came and "saved" you from your old computer and broughtinto new territories. But, then again yesterday was Valentines Day and my mind may still be there? And you just mentioned it has to be a girl..., so Aubin is a French name, meaning fair complexioned. Also was a Saints name.

How about tabula rosa?
