Sweet surprises!

So I arrived back in Denver yesterday, all in one piece, in the late afternoon. As much as I love travelling...it was so nice to be home, lounging around with Jesse last night, catching up on my TiVo, finishing up my socks!!! And I slept so good last night, ahhh, I love my little house! So, my plan had been to blog from the road...but as you can see, that didn't work! There just weren't enough hours in the day to do all of the things that I wanted to do. But, I did do a few things...I took over 100 photos (I promise not to bore you with all of them;-), met 6 L.A. knit bloggers and 1 visiting from the east, shopped at 3 completely different yarn shops, bought a "little" bit of yarn (some in a gorgeous discontinued color from Noro), experienced the horror of L.A. traffic first hand, laughed a lot, and had a great time with RayLynn and my parents!! Stay tuned for updates. I will be writing about my trip each day this week. I can't wait to share all the silly things that I saw and experienced with you!!

Here's how the trip began...could my luggage BE any more pink?! I love it!

When I arrived home from LA to snow here in Denver, what was waiting for me? Hold the phone....my secret pal strikes again. She rocks, I just can't say that enough, seriously! Not only did she email me last week, before I left town, with a $20.00 gift cerificate to iTunes (ummm, yeah, I've already spent a portion of it, and I'm hoarding the rest of it for a rainy day)...she sent me another package that arrived while I was gone?! It was filled with yummy goodness, of both the yarn and sweets variety. So, she obviously gets me. I don't need to gush much more, I'll let you see for yourself!

She sent two little post-it notes, one that says "Luv 2 Blog" on it...I'll be honest and say that I've had two other friends give me this post-it set, and each time I get so excited. I'm such a dork! They are sooo cute though! The other is an orange and pink flower. Then there was a refrigerator pad of paper that has a girl on the phone on it, it's hilarious. And then, there's the chocolate and Koigu. I had one bite of the chocolate, which came in a mysterious red box, and I' thought I'd died and gone to heaven. It's not just chocolate, it's peanut butter and chocolate!! Thank you secret pal...you are doing a great job...and you get me. Thanks!!

As if I didn't feel spoiled enough, I got a package from the "Southern Division" of Mason-Dixon Knitting. Ann, you amaze me. This was so sweet, and completely not necessary! Thank you, thank you! Now I just need to find a springy/summery top to knit with my 10 balls of linen drape! **notice the cute little note from her** So, anyone have any pattern suggestions?

So, did you all get your Clapotis(es?) done?

I just have to say... that Linen Drape is a gorgeous color. I'm such a lavender girl. Can't wait to see what you make with it.
