Here's a few of the green pictures I had in my iPhoto library...I'm realizing that although I love pink, green is probably my second favorite color. Enjoy, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This was a card from my SP4 last month, so cute!

This is Brynne's son John last month at our meetup modeling one of the hats she made for the Dulaan Project. He is such a sweetie, and so fun to have at the knit group!

One of the many pictures I took while I was at the Brown Sheep factory last year. It was so fascinating to see how they make up the skeins of yarn!

Someday I'll pick back up my Alien Illusion scarf, but for now the needles have been yanked out for some other project and this has been stuck in the on-hold-but-not-forgotten bin...yes, I have a whole bin of these kinds of projects.

Last, but not least is my John Deere hat that my friend Suzy gave me. Her parents have a feed store in Texas and they sell John Deere stuff, so she has the hook up! Thanks Suz!
Hope you enjoyed my little parade of green on this St. Patrick's Day...now go out and drink a Guinness or at the very least some green beer!
I can't believe you saw both of those at Shutters! We saw no one. I'm so jealous of the Brown Sheep tour! That would be so cool. Your parents are adorable.

Posted by: Ms. Néz at March 17, 2005 11:29 AMGreen is my favorite color, and all those beautiful skeins of green yarn made me swoon!
Posted by: Dani at March 17, 2005 07:13 PMOddly enough John had on that same green sleeper today and all morning people kept telling me, "Oh, how cute, he's in green." I'd sort of smile in a bemused sort of way and nod, thinking yep it is green. It took me forever to realize it was St. Patrick's Day. Suddenly those people didn't seem so crazy any more.
I'd be happy to make a fabric field trip. I've only been to Denver Fabrics once and didn't get to see it all. Sewing is ridiculously easy and it's so fast compared to knitting. You'll be an expert in no time.
Posted by: Brynne at March 17, 2005 09:09 PMWhile I was making an Alien Illusion scarf for my son, my daughter came to visit. She spied the Brown Sheep Co. (spring) green yarn which is her favorite color. She was born on St. Patrick's day by the way. So I showed her the illusion hiding in the scarf...Duh me! Her comment was, "Mom that is so cool I wan't one too"
*sigh*
I can't say no to her, she is serving in the USAF. And I'm a big sucker for a uniform.
Hope ya'll had a happy holiday.
Loving the John Deere hat - especially since I live right here in beautiful Georgetown, Texas! Knit on!

Posted by: P-lalala at March 19, 2005 08:10 AMSorry I missed u in LA. Went to L'Atelier and blew the whole yarn budget there. Love the pics of the clap, can't wait to see it in person!
Posted by: Cyn at March 19, 2005 01:35 PMI love Brown Sheep and have used that green in the past. There is more in my future as well.
Was it you who bought the Boye needle kit. If so, how are you liking them? Is there a rough spot that catches at the join of the cable to the needle? I've read there is, but some things bother some people and not others.

I did buy a Boye Needle set...and I love them!! I have hardly used anything else since I bought them. I haven't had any trouble with the seam that I'm aware of, and I've never had anything catch. I love the fact that if you need the needle you can screw them off and put them on another needle...it's wonderful! I bought my set at Michael's when they had a 50% coupon in the weekend paper. So my set was about 36 bucks!! Can't beat that! I went with the Boye over the Denise because I didn't think that I'd like the plastic, and I'm glad that I did because I love the bright metal needles!! Hope that helps!
