What happens when you get together with a bunch of crazy knitters who are a little camera happy? It's the attack of the Clap!! Six of the 10 knitters that were there on Friday were knitting a Clapotis! It was pretty funny and Michelle was such a good sport "posing" for us! Thanks Michelle!

After a long week at work, I spent Friday night with my knitting crew at Chez Pink. It was a much needed evening of knitting, eating (umm Cathi made homemade Praline sauce for sundaes...I need to buy a cookbook before I have these girls over again!!), and all around girl talk. Felicia came up from Colorado Springs to knit with us so I was finally able to put a face to the blog that I've been reading. She and Tam had everyone laughing so hard...they just kept the one-liners rollin'. I told them that they need to take their show on the road, those funny ladies. Here are the group shots...gotta have the group shots! From left to right,it's Felicia, Michelle, Tam, Teresa, and Wanda.

And now for the other side of the room, it's Libby, Lisa, and our "hostess with mostess" Mrs. Pink herself Cathi! (Cathi's knitting on her Just Beachy. Go check it out!)

At the knit group everyone has come to realize that I don't knit very much at these gatherings. They were giving me a hard time about it...all in good fun! I just usually get so caught up talking to everyone, and looking at peoples projects, and eating, and did I mention talking? So, I didn't get much done on Friday...like usual, but I sure had fun!! I'm determined to have more of my own knitting progress to report about in the coming weeks! I want to get some other projects going. (ie: Rogue and Charlotte!) I borrowed my friends season 1 of The OC (and I'm not ashamed to admit that I have become throughly addicted to it this season) so I should have lots of knitting hours with fun TV to watch in the next few days. These old TV shows on dvd are both a blessing and a curse because I get sucked in and want to watch them on a continual feed. I just put a couple series on my Netflix list...The Greatest American Hero and The A-Team! Gotta love the nostalgic 80's sitcoms!! I woke up wondering where the weekend went...it can't already be Monday, can it?!
Posted by Stacey at April 18, 2005 08:38 AMI love The O.C. too! And I spent part of Friday night watching Season 3 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so don't feel bad :)~
Posted by: tara at April 18, 2005 12:45 PMIt was great hanging out with you and RayLynn (can you please get that woman to knit for herself?) on Friday. How sweet is it that you separated out the crew....I know that you probably did that ten years ago, but I just noticed. You are one of a kind, Ms. Stacey Beach.
Posted by: Cathi at April 18, 2005 12:59 PMAnd I bet you used to watch 90210 too, right? I did too! And i watched the first season of the OC, but couldn't manage to watch it this season (b/c of school). I want an updated pic of the clap! Can I interest you in a yarn crawl sometime soon?
Posted by: Cyn at April 18, 2005 04:21 PMWhat fun! A Clap Attack! I just got my yarn ready for my 1st ClaPpY! .... wish me luck! :)
Posted by: Kary at April 18, 2005 05:46 PMHaving already made a Clapotis, I thought I could just observe the recent wave of them... but after seeing your picture of 6! of them, I just may get drawn back in to knit another. :)
Posted by: Teresa at April 18, 2005 08:59 PMAhahahaha!!!!!! The clap attacked!!! (But wow, what a gorgeous case of the clap you have.)
Posted by: laurie at April 19, 2005 04:03 PMLooks like a very fun time! Knitting is so much fun with friends! Great pics!
Posted by: Lolly at April 19, 2005 05:30 PMThat's such a great picture! So many knitters have the Clap these days I'm not surprised to see it.
Posted by: monica at April 19, 2005 07:58 PMHi Stacey! Love all the pictures of the claps. I haven't worked up the courage to try one. (All those drops intimidate me!)
Just out of curiousity, could you give someone some direction on how one might go about starting their own blog?
Posted by: Kristy at April 19, 2005 09:44 PMThe Clap that Attacked Denver. That's a good option for our slogan too.
Posted by: Cyn at April 19, 2005 10:01 PMHow Fun! What a great Photo...
I'm thinking that I should really consider knitting up a summer clap...
the fall/winter clap will soon be washed and put away for the warm weather...
