I'll tell you...I sort of stopped working on most of them. I finished my Clapotis, so I can cross that one off the list. There's the FBS Shawl, and the Flower Basket bag. Neither one of which is on the needles. The Poetry in Stitches sweater needs to be started over...I only have, maybe, 6 inches of a sleeve done. My thrum mittens...well, I'm not feelin' the love for them, and I just can't knit wool mittens in the summer. It's not going to happen. Then there's my Fry-Up bag. I'm so disappointed that I haven't finished it yet! I started it in February, there's no good excuse for why it's not done. It's going back in the knitting bag so that I'll have it there to work on. If they are in the knitting bag, then they will get worked on!
What am I working on right now you ask? Well, I've had the Prisoner of Azkaban Gryffendor scarf on the needles for a while, and I really want to be able to wear it to the next movie!

I'm using Brown Sheep Nature Spun worsted in Brick and Gold, it's a really easy pattern, plain old stockinette in the round...easy enough that I'm going to bring it with me when I go see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants tonight with my sister and mom. I'm also going to start on a project for Alice's birthday in August. That about sums it up...that's really surprising to me...I guess I can go rummage through the stash and get a few new projects lined up! It really is freeing to get a couple of projects done...ha! Alright...back to baby watching duties (Tuesdays are my day with Alice:) and then it's off to a girly movie with my two favorite girls!! Stay tuned for the Felted buttonhole pics in the next few days!!!
ooh! I can't wait to compare notes with you re: The Sisterhood. The scarf is looking goooood. Um, does deciding not to work on a project mean we don't have to count them as WIPs?

Maybe that's what happened to Knitalong Tuesdays. No way can knitting compete with that adorable little face!
Posted by: Leisel at June 7, 2005 11:53 PMok this might be a really dumb question but: a scarf knit in the round? is that so that it can be double sided?
also (nother dumb question coming up, brace yourself), is there a pattern for it?
Scarf looks fab. Can't wait to see the pic of the felted bags - you guys looked like you had so much fun making them. How was "The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants?" Have a great day. :)
Posted by: Stasia at June 8, 2005 09:49 AMNot dumb questions at all! I'm assuming that it's knit that way so that there isn't a "wrong" side and that it's warm. It could be that they did it that way for the movie so that there wouldn't be a wrong side showing in the movie. I'm just guessing though. Yes there is a pattern for it, and thankfully the scarves are the same for the upcoming movie! (they were different in the first and second ones:) Here's the pattern website:

In regards to the movie, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, I loved it!! My mom and sister and I all had a good cry. I love the actresses, Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, Blake Lively, America Ferrera. It was definitely a chick flick, but I really enjoyed it. So much so that I hardly knit during the whole thing:)
Posted by: Stacey at June 8, 2005 10:34 AMOh, I can't wait to hear a movie review!
Posted by: Lynne at June 8, 2005 06:48 PMAre the colors in the Brown Sheep Nature Spun worsted "dark" enough to match the scarves in the film? It may just be the flash showing up on the photo... I'm attempting to work out what yarn to use for my scarf! :)
Posted by: Stacie at June 9, 2005 09:02 AMWow, that scarf looks great! That Naturespun is knitting up lovely. Looks softer than my Jamiesons too. Hope you're loving it! Maybe the store will let me borrow the one I'm making for opening night of the next movie. ;0)
