Yesterday I stayed home from work because I've had some kind of funky cold/nasty stuff this week. I am not a good sick person, seriously! I get grouchy and irritable...and if you know me, you know that is not the kind of person I usually am. So, my mom came over with some medicine and groceries (have I mentioned that she is the greatest mom, as well as being one of the most kind and gentle women I know) and hung out with me the whole day. And then my sister walks in with this:

They were flowers from her little garden and mine. So beautiful and professional looking! Thanks Whit! If you want to see some more pictures of the arrangements at her house, plus a ton of Alice photos, go check out Alice's Blog. (scroll down on yesterdays entry)
Since I had stayed home from work I contemplated not going to my knitting group that evening, but I just didn't want to miss out on any of the fun! So I headed to St. Mark's coffee house and knit a bit with the usual group...my pictures turned out like crap, so go check out Libby's or Cathi's pictures...I hate it when my camera craps out on me. Oh well. Fun was had by all, and knitting plans were hatched by Libby and I. Mwwaahaahaa! I love secret knitting plans.
Ok, I've been sitting here for 10 minutes starring at my computer screen trying to think of something else to write, but it's no use. After being at work today for the whole day I'm exhausted...the only good thing was that my day went better than it started out. I went to McDonalds on my way to work and getting out of my car with my large oj, the lid came off and I spilled it...in...my...knitting...bag(as well as in my car, on some papers for work, and my check book! I had one of those panic moments, I didn't know what to do! I grabbed my Harry Potter scarf and shook it off. Luckily it didn't have a chance to soak in, and the felted bag kind of naturally repelled the water, a bizarre but much appreciated bonus that I was unaware of. Nothing was ruined, everything was able to be washed off or wiped down. Although I did feel slightly citrusy all day:) And the day went by quickly. I think it's time to head to bed though...my brain is starting to quit on me...nighty, night!
He he, first one to post. I'm glad you're feeling better today, you'd better get some sleep tonight, so we can have fun tomorrow. Let the birthday celebrations begin!!

Posted by: Jenifer at June 11, 2005 01:48 PMHope you're feeling better. The felted bags turned out great. I vote yes on the ribbon if you haven't already decided what to do - it's adorable. Glad nothing got ruined by the OJ... my husband's home brew blew up in the garage the other day, and I had a bag of fleece out there... <:-O
