I love this time of year...because it means that I need to use up the rest of my vacation time before it just goes away. So, I'm headed up to Vail with the family...my parents, grandparents, my brother and his wife and her family. It's a big group, but it should be fun! I'll be posting from the mountains...I have progress to show you all, but for now I need to get back to packing up my car and heading out. More later, I promise! Have a great weekend everyone!!
I'll leave you with a picture of another of my favorite things, it's the tin that holds all my sewing gadgets. Believe it or not, but my mom used the shoulder pads that were in this tin for years. If the outfit she had on didn't have shoulder pads in it already, then she had these babies ready to go:) Ha! I love it! The graphics are a crack up...do you see the woman telling her dog to "stay put"...just like the shoulder pads would!!

What a cool tin! I really love taking old things and finding new uses for them, especially in a creative way. Enjoy your vacation - can't wait to see pics!

Posted by: karen at August 13, 2005 11:56 AMScary, but I remember the tin! My mother had it too. She would take out the shoulder pads that came with the jacket or blouse, and then use these because they were better. I have to say that I eeven used them sometimes. Sigh. The 80's. I don't miss them!
