Umm, so I'm wearing my felted clogs the other night, being goofy running around and laughing with my family. I was headed to show my dad something when I slipped in those silly shoes! I fell backwards toward the steps and hit my shoulder blades then fell all the way to the floor and wacked my head on the hardwood. I caught my breath and was half laughing half crying when everyone ran over to see if I was ok. This bruise, pictured below, on my arm was the only one that showed up, but I had a whopper of a headache that night. My grandpa over the last few days keeps reminding me to be careful and that I really scared him...he's so sweet. The moral of the story is, don't run on hardwood while wearing felted clogs. It can only end in disaster!

I know that hurt!
I put plasti dip on the bottom of my felted clogs, after almost killing myself. Definately worth trying.
Posted by: Liz at August 16, 2005 10:31 PMHoly Bruise, Batman! Silly silly girl. I wear the felted clogs on hardwood all the time... but not while I'm running. I find that doggie drool helps give more grip. Glad to hear you're ok...
Posted by: Cyn at August 16, 2005 11:22 PMOh no! That totally sounds like something that would happen to me!
I wonder if you can take some non-sliding yarn (suede?) and add some make-shift non-skid bits on the bottom? Or, if you make another pair, weave some suede into the bottom before felting?

I saw it on someone's blog once, and I always think I'll buy it but never do. Supposedly it works!
Posted by: Jenifer at August 17, 2005 07:29 AMOuch, sorry that had to hurt, but glad you're okay.
Posted by: Wanda at August 17, 2005 08:44 AMWow. No good.
Posted by: Michelle at August 17, 2005 01:26 PMPuff paint also works to help you avert those skids. Ouch! Glad you're okay.
