Quick sock update!

Here's a quick picture of what my sockapal2za socks look like after a weekend of knitting...why aren't they done yet is what I want to know?! I started knitting the second sock from the outside of the skein, while the inside was still attached to the first sock...big mistake. The second sock looks much brighter than the first. Crap. So with some quick thinking and a little encouragement from Cynthia, I cut the yarn and switched things around so that each sock will have a little bright spot on it. Ahhhh, crisis averted, which is greatly appreciated on my part since these puppies need to be done in, ohhh, about 9 days. Yikes!

That's it for now, I have a couple of really great stories to tell about my long weekend...which was spent knitting and hanging with friends and my grandparents, but it will have to wait:)

Yea to your socks! I'm being a procrastinator as well ... I need to get going on that. Did you get the Cathay in, by chance, last week? It should have arrived Friday or so. Just let me know whenever you can ... and maybe I can come down some day to visit your stash. :) Although I think that I've definitely been dreaming a little about that Interlacements Toasty Toes (is that what it was?). Anyhow, talk to you soon!

The second one does look a bit brighter, the beauty of variegation! Good thinking on you and Cyn's part and I'm sure they will turn out fine. Keep cranking on it! It'll be done soon.

I'm hurrying to get my Petticoat socks done, too. They were going fine, then they stalled out for a bit. Gotta get back on track and get them done! Since mine are made in a solid color it's fun to see how the many colors look in yours. They look great.

Can't wait to hear about the weekend. The socks look really pretty so far. I'm going nuts trying to finish my socks in time. I've never knit so much in just a couple days. Good luck :)

Those are really cute. I don't think that the brightness factor will be a problem. They'll be worn on the feet anyway, so any inconsistancies in color won't be noticable. The pattern's really nice.
