Charlotte Update!

First let me say that it's not very easy to photograph this scarf, while it's still on the needles, if you are by yourself! So, that being said here's a picture of where I'm at.

I have really been enjoying this project. It's my first attempt at lace, and all things considered, I haven't had too many problems. On my way home from Oklahoma I messed up the row count andmy pattern got all goofed, but luckily last friday night there was a knit group and Tamara helped me fix it! Thanks Tam! I'm now on row 85 out of 154 rows total. I'm a little over halfway through the rows, but as you probably know, the rows are just going to be getting bigger so I still have a ways to go! I can't wait to start the next color though. That's what motivates me with this kind of project...getting to the next color. It has slowly been changing to more and more pink, but the next color is going to make the shawl look a lot more pink!! Here's a non-glamorous shot where you can see the shawl a little more stretched out. (ignore my messy desk...I really need to clean up!!) The Cherry Coke in the picture is just for scale:) I'm enjoying knitting this "lace" so much in fact that I think I'll be knitting much more of it in 2006.

Hey your Charlotte looks great. Can I ask how your friend fixed the mistakes that are in it? I have some and I know that they are going to show but I am on row 119 and I don't want to rip back to 54 or something like that where I found the mistake. LOL

I like the pinks and the addition of more pinks just make it look great. You are really making great progress there!

Stacey, It's looking great! I am going to get the pattern and the first skin this week for mine. I am going with a blue to purple theme. Looks like your trip was great. I love how they displayed the yarn in the one shop. I can't figure out if I want the yarn or the tub more!

I loved knitting it, too. So much so, I did two and I increased them by one or two pattern repeats as the original comes out quite small. Pretty colours,
Li

Now you can see why I can do this over and over ... and the color changes are so darn addictive! They really motivated me. Yours is looking so great ... thanks for posting so many updates, I really love seeing it grow! It's going to be so beautiful. What are you doing for the edging, have you decided?
