Since I have no pictures for you today, here are some random facts about me!!! Or should I say about "meme"?!
4 jobs you have had:
•Bookseller and resident costume wearer at Barnes and Noble. Oh yes, I got to dress up as Lily, Arthur, the Mouse from "If you give a mouse a cookie", and the Stinky Cheese Man!!
•Assistant Manager at Blockbuster...not my finest hour, but can you feel the power? I can't say I've ever wanted to wear khaki pants and a blue shirt again. They've been ruined for me.
•House Director at a residential facility for teenage girls. I lived in a house with up to 18 teens for three years...this was by far my most challenging and yet rewarding job!!
•Pre-school teacher
4 movies you could watch over and over:
•Pride and Prejudice, the BBC version
•Finding Nemo
•When Harry Met Sally
•any of the Harry Potter movies
This is just the tip of the ice berg for me...I love movies!!
4 TV shows you love to watch:
•absoulutely obsessed with Project Runway
•ER
•Gray's Anatomy
•Iron Chef America
•again...this list could go on and on and on...I have at least 30 season passes on my TiVo. That's a little ridiculous...but oh well:)
4 places you have been on vacation: (nope...I've never left North America)
•Disney World...the greatest place on earth. I love it there. I want to go back as an adult really bad, I haven't been there since I was 12. Does anybody want to have a knitting meet-up in Florida on Main Street at Disney World?! Oh man...that would be so fun!!
•The Bahamas...again, when I was 12. This was a Disney cruise that my grandparents took me on.
•Kauai, Hawaii. I went there for 10 days with my family back in 2000. It was the greatest vacation that I've ever been on. The house we stayed at had a magnificent view of the Ocean and was right on a golf course.
•Las Vegas with 3 of my good girl friends! We drove my dad's convertible to Vegas and stayed at the Venetian...by far the wildest trip I went on.
4 websites you visit daily:
•Bloglines, so that I can daily check on what the rest of the knit-blogging world is doing!!
•Gmail
•iTunes
•The Yarn Harlot
4 of your favorite foods:
•Macaroni and Cheese...I have to agree with Michelle...Kraft is the cheesiest!
•Kettle Corn, even better if you can get it from a fair and it's made in a big kettle!!! Mmmm.
•Cherry Coke
•anything with chocolate and peanut butter...preferably a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup!
4 places you would rather be right now:
•Paris
•Prince Edward Island
•San Francisco
•Sitting by a pool, sipping on a fruity drink, chatting and knitting with my closest friends.
4 bloggers you are tagging:
•Take it if you want it!!! I'd love to get to know some of you better!
We're going on a cruise to Hawaii this summer-- good to know it's fabulous. Anything that's must-do on Kauai? We're staying there a couple of days.
And kettle corn-- man, I haven't had that in ages. You're making me hungry!
Posted by: Julie at January 29, 2006 08:29 PMI did a variant on this yesterday based on 7s. I think I did this one two or 3 weeks ago?! They're starting to blur.
I sold books for B Dalton for a while, but fortunately missed out on wearing costumes!

Posted by: amy at January 29, 2006 08:53 PMI was a bookseller/manager/resident costume wearer at B&N too! And a pre-school teacher. I could go on about the other things we have in common, but I'll spare you!
Posted by: Jenn at January 29, 2006 09:10 PMWouldn't knitting in WDW be a blast?! All they need is a Disney Themed yarn shop and we'd be all set! How about knitting in the lawn in front of Cinderella's Castle or by the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom? That is my absolute favorite vacation spot. You've got to go back at least once as an adult before you get married and have kids and such--there is so much to do! I went there on my honeymoon and I actually have only ever been there as an adult.
Posted by: Kim at January 29, 2006 09:18 PMi just tried kettle corn for the first time a couple of weekends ago....i can't believe i lived my entire life without it!!

Posted by: Jenifer at January 30, 2006 09:08 AMI am commenting to tell you that I finished a My So-called Scarf of Friday! I made it out of some dark gray, dark brown, and light brown Manos. It's for my husband and he really likes it. :D
I love Project Runway and I am rooting for Daniel V.!!!! I want scary what's his name to leave next (you know, the tall skinny guy whose stuff is never very nice).

I knew there was a reason I felt such a conection to you: we've both worked as Assistant Managers at Blockbusters (although mine was a music store). Did you have to wear a tie, too? I did - ugh!
