I got lots of rest this weekend...kind of. I went to my knit group on Friday night, thinking that I was feeling better, but about an hour into it I realized I needed to go home. I hate to be the first one to leave a party, but sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Then Saturday I worked around my house and with my mom's help,I got rid of a ton of clothes and other stuff that I just don't wear/use, then babysat for Alice. I didn't knit at all that day.

Alice was very interested in my sheep clogs...but not very interested in me taking a picture of her in them!! This is her latest favorite thing to do, wear my shoes around. See.This picture was taken a week or two ago. Again with the wearing of my shoes! Funny girl.

Back to my weird weekend...Sunday I went to a funeral and then helped my mom at her house, and didn't knit at all. It feels weird to not have knit more than a total of 30 minutes during the weekend, when that's usually my prime knitting time. If you want to see a picture of my "secret project" click here! (don't look Genia! Remember no peeking!!) I'm kind of playing catch up this week at work...and then Thursday I'm heading to Boston for a wedding. I've made some tentative plans with a few Boston knitters already, but I have to say I have heard great things about Boston knit shops so I am ready to go!! If you have visited any shops in particular that you think I shouldn't miss, let me know!!

(I think this store has lots of spinning stuff - this is the only one I haven't been to.)
And these are all near public transit! :) The first 2 are my favorites, but all are worth a stop in if you have time, they're kinda all over the place. Have a great time here in Boston!
I'm going to Boston this weekend too - when are you going to be there?
Posted by: Jenn at March 6, 2006 06:16 PMA Good Yarn is the other store that Bookish took me to when I was visiting. Have a great time... !!
Posted by: cyn at March 7, 2006 12:07 AMStacey, I have been searching for those sheep clogs in adult sizes FOREVER! Will you share with me where you purchased them? Knitteriam@carolina.rr.com
Thanks so much!
Kelly
Alice has so much fun with you! Everytime she hears the garage door go up she says one of two things - "Gram?" or "Stacey?"
Posted by: whitney at March 7, 2006 08:52 AMSorry to hear about the funeral. I hope you are feeling better and back on track with everything asap.
:)
Loving those sheep clogs!!! I'm going to Boston in June so I'd be interested on knowing what the stores are like and whats the best to go to :)
Have a great time!
Hope you are feeling better. It's such a bummer to be sick!
Posted by: Michelle at March 7, 2006 04:36 PMI love that Cynthia just shortened my name to Bookish in her comment. So funny.
So, which of those do you want to hit? They are all over the place! But all on public transportation. Circles and a Good Yarn are my too favs. There is one out in Lexington too - so if you have a car that one would be close-ish and worth going to.
Me? My license expired! So I can't drive us anywhere. ;)
Posted by: Bookish Wendy at March 8, 2006 01:40 PMHope you are feeling better, is it offical that everyone now has had the crud?
I know the weird feeling of not knitting, I haven't knitted consistently since the move started and it is weird at the end of the day to have no progress.
