I'm heading out to Boston in the morning for my cousin's wedding...ummm, yeah, bright and early baby. It seems like just yesterday I was in OKC for my other cousin's wedding and this trip was months and months away. And now it's here!! Of course I'm going to fit a little yarn shopping and knitting in. Ruth and Wendy have both volunteered to go shopping with me on different days. I really had to twist their arms to get them to go yarn shopping...yeah right!! Just so that this post isn't completely boring and void of knitting content, I leave you with this...a picture of me and Alice, where I swear she is learning to knit. Look at the concentration on her face! So cute. I may be blogging from the road...it just depends on the internet hook up at the hotel. Otherwise...I'll be back on Monday. Gotta go finish packing now.

**Can you believe the outcome on Project Runway??!! Holy Crap!!! Seriously...SERIOUSLY?**
Santino was f@#$%^& robbed, ROBBED, I tell you. I definitely was one to love to hate him, but by the end, I was moved by his dedication to family and friends and wearing his heart on his sleeve during the interview with Tim in LA. Have a great trip to Boston, we'll miss you while you're gone. I'll have to count how many times Alice asks for you while you're gone.
Posted by: whitney Boone at March 8, 2006 09:50 PMWow! Did I write that previous comment???!!?
Geez, I feel the exact same way. I hated him at first and then was moved by that interview. The way those little girls where holding on to him just tells you what kind of person he really is.
His collection was the best.
I mean, they keep telling him to tone it down and be less "Santino" and then when he comes out with an awesome collection they bitch because it isn't Santino-enough?
Gimme a break!
p.s. It does look like she's learning to knit!
Posted by: isel at March 8, 2006 10:10 PMBon voyage!
Posted by: Jenifer at March 8, 2006 11:48 PMI was rooting for Santino all the way, but having been by Chloe Dao's shop where the trendy people live in Houston I can say that her collection really isn't all that indicative of her look. I'd wear a lot of what was at Lot 8 if I didn't have to worry about toddler-induced stains.
Posted by: Brynne at March 9, 2006 05:59 AMCheck out Kara's collection .... they had her put up a collection as a decoy, and I think it's the best of all.

Posted by: Ruth at March 9, 2006 10:59 AMI LOVED CHLOE! I cannot believe how much defending I have done today. Don't you think you'd wear her stuff? I would. Maybe I'm just a huge dork.
Posted by: Kelli at March 9, 2006 11:53 AMIf Chloe didn't channel 'Dallas' circa 1983 for half her collection, I might have been somewhat in agreement with her winning. But honestly, I wasn't wowed by a single one of the collections. But yeah, Santino should have won! Poor guy can't win for losing!
Posted by: turtlegirl76 at March 9, 2006 12:10 PMHave a great time, and have fun yarn shopping!!
Posted by: Jeni at March 9, 2006 03:17 PMHave fun in Boston! Such a cute picture. :)
Posted by: Chris at March 9, 2006 03:53 PMNow wait a minute! Personally, I was a BIG Daniel V fan going into it. He stuff was so nice (like him) and he's just so darn cute. I liked his collection but it didn't razzle/dazzle me on the runway. I have to say I was quite suprised by what Chloe did. I liked some of her stuff but was never a "Chloe fan." But, I really thought that everything she showed was GORGEOUS! And, as much as I love to hate Santino, the dresses he showed were (I think) some of the best that he's done. The red dress was beautiful. I did think he was pathetic that the judges gave him so much crap all season and when he "toned down" they still gave him crap. But, I think Chloe was deserving.
Posted by: Anita at March 9, 2006 07:26 PMPS If you can, download the Project Runway podcast by Tim Gunn. The one for the final broadcast is VERY INTERESTING! (Especially for you Santino fans!)
Posted by: Anita at March 10, 2006 11:40 AMHave a great time in Beantown! Wendy is the BEST! And not just at dragging you around to buy yarn everywhere in Boston. She just rocks out in general. Say hi for me. I miss Boston!
Posted by: Cara at March 10, 2006 09:42 PMHave a great weekend!
BTW, I am still working on your yarn -- I ran into some difficulty, but am back on it. It's all going well now, so hopefully I'll have your yarn out by the end of next week. Hopefully!
Posted by: Faith at March 11, 2006 02:09 PMThat is the cutest picture, It really does look like she is learing to knit.I'm sure it won't be long:)
