I knit a whole project last night, from start to finish...and I totally want to blog about it, but I can't! Because it's a secret!! Don't tell anyone...especially my mom. Ha! As if she doesn't read this...she told me the other day that it had been 5 days since I've written anything, and that even though she's been with me the majority of those days...she still wanted to read about it! Sheesh! Anywhoo, back to the FO. It will have to wait until after Mother's Day. I'll leave you with a little teaser picture though...and if anyone can guess what it is, correctly, than I'll send them a little something in the mail! (no guessing Whitney and Cassidy since you both know what it is!! And not you either Nachaele!)

Speaking of "secret" projects...do you know how many I have going on right now?! Three! That's way too many for a girl who has a hard time keeping stuff to herself that she's excited about. I'm never going to be able to make it. I may have to break down and talk about the one that I'm making for my nephew.
Tonight I'm going to start getting together the projects that I'm going to take with me to Arizona. What's a realistic number of projects to take on a 5 day trip where the majority of the time I'll be sitting around knitting? Here are some of the ideas, keep in mind that I like to have a lot of options!! This is not the final list...give me opinions people!! I need help!
1. Noro Shrug
2. Mystery Project #1
3. Mystery Project #2
4. Liam blankie squares
5. Koigu Clapotis
6. Felted Clogs for my class that is on the 20th! Yea!
7. Bloggers Afghan...it's still small enough that I can easily pack it in my bag.
8. Jamaica yarn because I'm desperate to start knitting with those colors!
9. Rogue??? Because it will be air-conditioned in the apartment, and I'll have a concentrated amount of time to figure out my guage/sizing problems.
OK, OK, maybe it's too obvious -- but I'm guessing a set of clogs. I LOVE the color -- and I really enjoy your blog!
Posted by: Tammy at May 10, 2006 03:25 PMI know what that is because I've made 6 pairs already- It's the Funky Knits Cozy Mary Jane slippers! Your mom will love them.
Posted by: Illanna at May 10, 2006 03:53 PMShoot, I was guessing clogs too! Love the color!
Posted by: becky at May 10, 2006 05:17 PMTempting Tangerine colored Clogs is my choice too.
Posted by: knitteriam at May 10, 2006 05:55 PMWell, I say take Rogue--although I have to admit I want to rip out what little I have done and do something else with that yarn. Also, take your secret projects so that they can be done :)
Posted by: Kim at May 10, 2006 06:53 PMon vacation is a great place to do the secret projects. i don't think that they're clogs... but definitely something feltable... so, I'll guess it's a bag.
have fun!
Posted by: cyn at May 10, 2006 10:30 PMI say take as many projects as you can fit! Seriously, if it were me, I'd take:
Rogue for when I wanted to get fiddley
The Noro shrug for conversational knitting
the blanket for when I wanted to feel accomplished
And the Jamaica yarn, because you never know when inspiration may strike!
Ok, I would say the Liam Blankie Squares for sure ~ since he will be here next month!! Then the felted clogs for the class (that I will be in!), the Jamaica Yarn because I know how it is when you really want to try a new yarn!! My thoughts are that the rouge would be too much brain work for a vacation!! Then I would throw in the Bloggers Afghan and the mystery projects! I wish I was coming! A week off to knit by the pool, you couldn't ask for anything better!! Have a great time!!
Posted by: Nachaele at May 11, 2006 07:16 AManother vote for clogs!
ASs for thge trip take that noro shrug cause i'm DYING TO SEE THE FINISHED PRODUCT PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEASE!
Okay...here is my list of priorities for you!!
1. Koigu Clapotis...perfect to wear for summer, so you better finish it..plus I've pulled way ahead
2. Jamaica yarn..it is so fun to cast on something new
3. both mystery's for sure
4. Blogger afghan of course
5. save something for Jessica Knits and a potential new project =)
You will definitely not bring one that you will inevitably be in the mood for so bring the fun ones =) cassidy
Posted by: Cassidy at May 11, 2006 10:29 AMBoy, if it isn't clogs you've got us all fooled, because I think it's clogs, too.
