Crafting

Favor Boxes.jpg

I got to spend some time on Sunday doing a little non-knitting crafting. Michelle is getting married in a few short weeks and she needed some help putting favors together. Move over Martha...there are some new crafters in town!! There were boxes and ribbons and bows...oh my!

My favorite thing that we made though were the programs that second as a fan! Ingenious! She is getting married on the beach after all!! I do have to say that I am proud of my bow tying skills...those bows look good! We were all super sneaky and when we took a dinner break, some people circled back and let themselves back into the house to set up our wedding gift to Michelle. It's the 5-teir Lantern Moon basket. Her reaction was priceless and just what I expected...total shock! It looks perfect with all her yarn in it. Happy wedding Michelle!!

**By the way, I spent all Saturday rearranging furniture and cleaning at my place (thanks Mom for all the help!! I couldn't have done it without you!). I need to take some pics and show you the newly rearranged yarn loft!! I didn't get the paints out yet, but I'm determined to this week!**

Looks like you also had the appropriate beer accompaniment! I love the program/fan idea.

The fan/program idea is such a good one! I'll have to remember that. And love the baskets.

That's an awesome gift! I'd love one of those. But the bottom basket would end up a cat bed. I just know it.

Those fans are a great idea. So I'm guessing the wedding colors are aqua and brown because everyone in the photos matches them. What wonderful friends Michelle has to help with the wedding AND enable more knitting.

You guys are totally the best. I still can't get over that. :D

well, there's a reason michelle and I fight over the same yarn. :) we obviously like the same colors.

and, er, I don't know that *ALL* her yarn fit inside it, but enough to make a nice display :) that was so much fun, now I can't wait to get married!

You don't have cats, do you?

I saw your yarn loft and had a momentary thrill of discovery -- just what would solve my stash storage problems! -- before realizing my cat would see not one, but 5 cozily lined beds!

That looked like so much fun! Crafting in so many different ways! and i always wondered what edible undies looked like...

That is sich an inspired way to store yarn - I have fabric in show hangers, but yarn seems to want to roll out and onto the floor ...

I love how you have cordinated your tops to the favour colours - very cool!
