A few months ago, I was shown a bag by a fellow knitter/bag lover and I knew that I had to have one! Then I convinced Tiffany that she needed to carry them in her shop...and voila! I present you with my new Tepper Jackson bag! (these bags are not billed as knitting bags...but they sure work nicely.)

I love that it has that 70's feel...brown and bright flowers. The design kind of reminds me of wallpaper that used to be in my Grandma's kitchen. One of my favorite things about this bag is that it seems small, but in reality, it holds a ton of stuff! The inside has two clear plastic zippered pockets, as well as a snap off nylon zippered case. I chose to also buy the matching "notions" case...well, just because! Did I mention that the inside of my bag is pink?! That was an unexpected bonus and ended up being the deciding factor for me.

The shop has a couple other designs in stock, and more on the way...here's a peek at some of them. Tiffany is selling them for what I think is the best deal around. They are $55.00 for the bag and $15 for the little zippered case. Believe me, I searched the internet far and wide...this is a great deal! Besides...I know bags, remember?!

Look what else came home with me...(I know, I said that I wasn't going to buy any yarn in the months before Rhinebeck, but I couldn't resist. I'm weak.) Colorful Yarns is now carrying GGH yarns! Check out the pinkness! It's going to be a shawl. If you have the latest issue of Rebecca magazine, it's design 21. The yarn is called Bel Air and it is wicked soft. (I'm trying out my Boston adjectives...gearing up for this weekend!) I'm thinking that this shawl will be one of the projects that I travel with, along with my pink malabrigo sweater. Hmmm, I sure have been all about the soft knits lately.

Okay...enough, I've got to get working so that I can get out of here on time tonight and go knit the night away! Oh...and I guess I need to start packing too?!

Posted by: Monica at October 17, 2006 02:22 PMWhee, love that bag too. It's so cute! Tonight is a great night for knitting too! All that snow. The pink yarn, so pretty! Can't wait to see what shawl pattern it is? How's Seraphim?
Posted by: Wanda at October 17, 2006 02:35 PMAll that pink at Cyn's house hopefully she doesn't accidentally throw it away. I love that Rebecca shawl pattern.
Posted by: Jeni at October 17, 2006 02:48 PMEverybody deserves a good bag--and that one is adorable!
Posted by: --Deb at October 17, 2006 03:38 PMI hope you and Jeni have a great time in Rhinebeck and with Cyn. Love your new pink and the bag is great.
Posted by: Judy at October 17, 2006 04:24 PMI soooo didn't need to see that bag. I've been at a loss for a good knit bag. Currently, it's living in my giant purse that I carry everywhere, but sometimes a girl doesn't want to carry it in her purse.
The ggh....Love it! I got some in a pretty blue for a scarf for my Dad. I hope I got enough. I suppose I can always go get more. :)

My good girlfriend, Anita, just gave me a cute card with a young girl loaded down with purses and on the inside of the card it said "A girl can never have too many purses". Oh, so true! Gotta love those bags!
Posted by: Julie at October 18, 2006 09:25 PMOh my word. I have got to have one of those bags. Does the shop have an online store??? Also, I've been looking for GGH BELAIR! I have a Rebecca pattern that I must do with BElAir. AND...I have that same EL Silky wool! Man, Stacey, we have twin knitting heads!
