Christmas cheer...comes in all forms.

New Malabrigo.jpg

Sometimes it comes in the form of Malabrigo yarn. Like yesterday, when this arrived at my house. Ahhh...two bags of yummy Malabrigo in the colors Lettuce and Rhodesian. I've been dreaming of this yarn delivery for weeks now. Pretty soon, if I'm not careful, my Malabrigo stash is going to overtake my Koigu stash.

Sometimes Christmas cheer comes in the form of a family tradition that I love. It's my Christmas charm bracelet that my mom started for me years ago. All the girls in my family have one. This year's charm is the tree with stars all over it. All the charms come from one of my favorite jewelry companies, James Avery. (I've included more close-up pics of each charm: Colorado snowflake, tea cup and teapot to represent when we used to host big Christmas teas each year, this years charm and a nutcracker, partridge in a pear tree, wrapped gift, and a manger.)

Last, but certainly not least, Christmas cheer can come in the form of a finished secret project...that took less than three days to knit! I love that one most of all! I'm almost done with my Christmas knitting...and I still have 11 days to go!

I'm not going to get to knit that much tonight...it's our office Christmas party. Tonight is the first in a series of fun holiday get togethers...I just love the Christmas season!

*I will be updating the bloggers afghan in the coming weeks...I feel terrible that I haven't worked on it lately. But as soon as the holiday knits are knocked out and knit up...those afghans are coming back out!*

What a lovely bracelet:) How nice that all the girls in your family share this special tradition. Oh and that Malabrigo looks lucious. We'll have to see what lovely garments they will become:)

I am all about loving the Malabrigo. It is divine. I still need to score some of the Koigu which I constantly read about on your blog. Hmmm....

Your family has some of the best traditions. You guys really need to write a book on how functional families should work!

I've never touched Malabrigo until recently. I received a skein as a gift. Your colors are wonderful together!

Totally love the yarn! Beautiful colors...lately I have been leaning more towards green. You couldn't tell by my recently finishe objects as they are almost all purple. Need to get away from PURPLE!

What a great Malabrigo haul!

I just finished my 1st Malabrigo - your "My So Called Scarf" pattern & have gotten tons of compliments on it. Read about it here: http://amyartisan.com/blog/2006/12/03/oh-me-oh-my/

Love the charm bracelet - James Avery is a family favorite jeweler for my family as well. :)

Malabrigo... ooooo! And now you get it delivered directly to your door?! Could Christmas get any better?

I can't wait to find out what gift took you only 3 days to knit.

The charm bracelet idea is so cute- something you and your siblings will treasure for years and years to come.

I love James Avery! I have a ring and a necklace by him! I got the ring over ten years ago and have worn it every day since! :)
The yarn is beautiful. I really need to try Malabringo one day.
