Family news...

So, I've been debating for weeks on whether or not to talk about what's going on with my Dad. Some of you read his blog, so you know, but some don't so I decided to give you an update. It's been a rough couple of weeks around here. My Dad has been experiencing some numbness in his face, and through another MRI they discovered that the lesions at the base of his skull are pressing on the nerves in his spine...therefore, causing the numbness. He is going to start radiation on that one spot this coming Monday, here in Denver. My parents are currently spending some time together at their place in Arizona. Please continue to pray for healing for my Dad. It's such a scary thing to see one of your parents sick...I know that I've said that before, but it just keeps coming back to that for me. Anyway, know that if things are quiet around here, I probably just haven't been knitting that much, or I've just not really felt like writing. But some days, this is just the right outlet for me to get my mind off of things that are happening, and connect with my knitting/blogging friends. Thanks so much for your support everyone!

I'm going to be writing all about the trip to California tonight...to be posted tomorrow. Fun stuff!

Hi Stacey, I'm really sorry to hear what is happening with your Dad. I totally understand what you are going through i lost my Dad to prostate cancer last july. I won't go in to detail but spending the last month with him was the hardest thing i think i have ever done but also the best. Nothing can prepare for losing a parent. I wish you and your family the best and all of you will be in my prays.God Bless.

Sorry to hear things aren't going as smoothly as they should be - I know a bit of what you're going through, as my mum is currently fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.

I will continue to pray for you and your family. Having been down this road with my parents, I understand the feeling of fear and helplessness we face when a parent falls ill. May God bless you with calm and strength and bless your dad with health.

Stacey, My prayers are with you and your family. I lost my Dad a little over 2 years ago, he was very sick for awhile. He was young(56), I was very close to him. From eveything you post on your blog I feel like family is very important to you, and you seem very close to yours. I pray God will watch over and heal your Dad, and give you all strength and peace during this difficult time.
