The Month of Ariann

AriannSwatch.jpg

Today is the 1st of February, the month of Love.
Today my Dad started radiation treatment that will last until the last day of February, 20 sessions, 5 days a week.
Today I cast on for Ariann, so did my Mom. We're going to knit this sweater all month long...while my Dad is in treatment. (if you haven't read about Cara's experience with this sweater...please, go read it)
Tonight, I'm going home, in the snow (for the 7th week in a row!), to knit Ariann and watch Grey's. Sounds like the perfect combination to me.

I remember reading about Cara's experience in your previous post when you were deciding which sweater to make, and I'm glad you've gone with Ariann. A special project can get you through a really emotionally stressful time. Enjoy working with such a warm yummy looking yarn in cold gloomy February! I pray your Dad's treatments go smoothyly and successfully, God Bless.

I'm sure your Ariann is going to be beautiful. I'll pray that your dad's radiation treatments blast the crap out of the cancer. I think God would be ok with the "strong" language in this case!

I continue to think of you and your family, and send warm wishes. I am also very close to my father, and can imagine how you must feel. I hope your sweater gives you and your mother comfort.

Also, the knitter in me naturally notices the fabulous yarn you've chosen. What is it?

I pray that this knitting this sweater brings you and your mom joy and comfort during such a trying time. Perhaps you should pray as well as you knit. Every little bit helps:)
