Random thoughts...

Last night, I was sitting in my loft...surrounded by all of the things that I love. My cat. My yarn. My vintage knitting needles. It was so nice to just sit and relax. I put my foot up, knit, and watched a few episodes of Dawson's Creek. (yes, I am a huge fan of this show. I'm in the midst of the end of season 3/beginning of season 4 Pacey and Joey drama. I love those 2 together!)

On a side note, did you know that Wal-Mart has a TV on DVD section where all the shows are $20? In the last 6 months, I've picked up the remaining seasons of Dawson's Creek that I didn't have, Season 1 of Party of 5, Season 1 of Grey's Anatomy, and a few others that I can't remember. For all you Buffy fans, they have some of the Buffy seasons there too! Bummer for me, I had already purchased all of them before I found the TV for $20 thing. Hi my name is Stacey, and I'm addicted to my old favorite TV shows. Believe me, there are many more that I love, Felicity anyone? What a good show. Which reminds me that I still need to pick up the 3rd and 4th seasons of that one. Okay...back to knitting, since this is a knitting blog after all.

One of my favorite things in my loft is a little ceramic sheep that my sister-in-law gave me last Christmas. It currently lives next to another one of my favorite items, a teapot filled with Crayons. These are the things that I surround myself with...little things that some people might think of as silly, but I think of them as whimsical and they make me smile.

Have a great weekend everyone!

**Yes, those are the Harlot mittens that Jesse is laying on. What can I say, he knows good knitting when he sees it!

I just got into Dawson's Creek and Roswell last year. I am missing so many episodes I may consider buying the older seasons and watching them. I need to get all my Buffy though!

i watched the first few seasons (maybe just the first one, who knows) of dawson's creek, but I'm not sure I ever say Joey and Pacey together. Scary that real life Joey is now a mommy and Mrs Cruise, no?

I never got into DC, but am currently enjoying season 1 of the Gilmore Girls. I love picking up whole seasons at my local library (ll). More money and space for yarn. Cute sheep, sil is a blessing!

Oh how I love Dawson's Creek and Felicity. I watched all 4 seasons of Felicity a few months ago. So Stacey did she choose Ben or Noel in the end? :)

I hear you on Dawson's Creek. Last year, I realized I'd never seen the finale, as I got insanely busy the last two years of high school, and didn't get to watch the last few seasons. And I REALLY wanted to know who Joey chose in the end. So I tivo'd all the reruns and watched 1-2 episodes a day, (and I even got up EARLY to watch it when I'd be away from my tivo). It was so worth it when I got to the final episode.

Grey's is great and I have season 1 &2 on loan to a pal right now. Perhaps I am too old and missed out on Dawson's Creek, et al. Loved That Girl. The nice thing about tv on DVD is that you can watch at your own pace and there are no commercials. Movies are fun, too. Who is for Sense and Sensibility, Little Manhattan, Breakfast At Tiffany's? My new favorite in the movie house is Amazing Grace. Go and see it!

Felicity might be my all time favorite show. I own all four seasons on DVD. I also love Dawson's Creek and the Gilmore Girls. The GGs are on ABC family every day and they're in the middle of season 5 right now (at least I think it's season 5). It's the season where Luke and Loralai finally get together. It's awesome. I set my DVR to record it every day and it's a little treat for me each night.

I love Dawson's! I always wanted Joey and Pacey together... Dawson was way too needy and whiny. I recently saw Joshua Jackson looking better than ever in "Bobby" and rekindled my crush on him. Recently I have been rewatching The Sopranos and Entourage in preparation for the new episodes. There is nothing better than some great tv and a good project on the needles.

We have Seinfeld on DVD. It's perfect for those times when there's just NOTHING to watch.

I really like your sheep.

Do you know that Buffy writer Joss Whedon has started season 8 of Buffy in a comic book version called "The Long Way Home"? The first issue is out and the next issue comes out April 4th. I got my copy at Hastings. I'm really looking forward to the series and the first issue was good. I wasn't a comic book reader as a kid, but I think I like it!

Hi Stacey!

Can I just say that I wish we lived closer (I'm in CT) because I think we'd get along famously!! I love all those gidgety gadgets around the house too (even have my favorite needles in an antique jug too!) and don't let me get started on teapots...let's just say I collect them and leave it at that. LOL Anyway, I also want to thank you for turning me on to Gilmore Girls. I first heard about them from your blog (the knitting episode) and now am totally addicted - even have my 9 yr old into it too! (By the way, where have I been for the last few years?? And why didn't I know about Gilmore Girls??) So, anyway, thank you thank you for a great blog! I always love hearing about your adventures in knitting.
