Announcements!

I've got a few things to share with you all. First, and most important, my friends Allison and Whitney, who run the charity "Kaps for Kendall" are in need of about 40 more hats. I have a big interest in this particular charity because Kendall was a friend of mine. (you can read about our relationship and see a picture of us here) I'd love to see them get more than 40 hats...I'd love for them to be blown away by the generosity that I know exists in this online knitting community. I'll be casting on for my hat this weekend! Any style of hat will do. They don't have to be "chemo" style hats, they just need to be fun and funky!

Second, I've gone through my stash...and I'm overwhelmed by the amount of yarn that is sitting around. So...it's stash-sale time! I will be listing everything out on Monday morning, May 21st. There is a little bit of everything. I've got sock yarn, Malabrigo, Rowan, and much much more! Come over on Monday and check it out!!

**you'll never guess what I'm doing this weekend! (Those of you that have knit with me lately aren't allowed to guess, since I've been talking about it) If anyone guesses correctly...they'll win a little froggy notions case!**

Are you going to a fiber festival?

Posted by: chris at May 18, 2007 11:43 AM

Do I get to guess? B/c I have no clue.

I think I can make you a hat this weekend if you would like - where should the hats be sent? My Mom is currently going through treatment so this is an area that is 'near and dear' to my heart. Best of luck making your 40 hats. I am so sorry to hear about your friends passing - what a wonderful thing you are doing in her memory.

You are going to that fiber festival. I wonder if that is why you are cleaning out the stash. To make room for the new. Have fun. Becky

Stacey~You know I don't need a thing, except computer help and a phone call when froggy comes in. Could you kindly give more specifics about what size hat and colors you guys need? Materials? I would be happy to bless someone with a hat.

My guess is you are finishing your Molly Ringwald top! It really is beautiful!

How's it going on the Mod on Mod? I am still working on mine. Kinda slow progess. My goal is to finish it before winter.

Are you going to a wool festival?

Posted by: Kati at May 19, 2007 11:44 AM

Hiya! Long time lurker, first time commenter. I'm gonna say that if you haven't finished your mitered square blanket, you are going to finish it this weekend, along with the hats, of course. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, whatever you do!

Those hats sound like a great idea. You've been tagged, check out my blog to find out what to do.

Hi Stacey! I need to tag you for 8 things about yourself. :)

I'm guessing that you'll be knitting a hat. Not that I think that's huge news or anything, but something you might likely do, wanting to help your friend.

Can I guess? Since I know what you were doing this weekend I guess that wouldn't be very fair. When are the hats "due?"

Posted by: Whit at May 21, 2007 10:56 AM

Did you jump on the spinning bandwagon that everyone (but me) is on?
