Jesse, you can love the Tilli Tomas...

...just don't love the Tilli Tomas. So, I received a skein of Tilli Tomas Disco Lights from Tiffany for my birthday last month. This got me to thinking, hmmm, I have wanted to make the Sahara top for a while now. Low and behold, look what shows up at the shop last weekend! How did that happen?! (wink, wink)

I bought the color called Hibiscus, and it's a gorgeous pink with a little orange thrown in. Perfect in my opinion. Guess who else has a fascination with this yarn? You guessed it, Jesse!

Right after I took this picture, I yanked the yarn out from under him so he wouldn't damage it. I mean, I love my cat, but he's not going to make a cat mat out of the 100% silk yarn I just bought! This yarn is going to go into the stash until I have some serious finishing done. It will be a reward to myself...actually finish a sweater and then I get to cast on with luxurious fibers. Ahem, we'll see how long I can stick to it!

TOO Funny and cute. At least he's not a drooler, and the yarn isn't feltable!

Go for it Stacey! I have some gorgeous Jade Tilli in my stash for the Sensational Knitted Bodice. I started and ripped it back--got to scared last year... But now that I have actually made a couple of sweaters.... I should be good to go--soon! September - October?

Dude, you let him roll on your silk yarn? You live much more dangerously than me! (hahaha!)

What is it with cats and silk? My cats will tear it apart and roll around in it if it left anywhere near them unsupervised for more than a few seconds!
Beautiful yarn!!! That colour is so very you!

Somebody clearly didn't take your advice about not... you know... lovin' the yarn! It's not only beautiful, it's kitty approved, so you made the right decision.

I would love to make the Sahara top. The colors you chose are beautiful! That's a great action shot of Jesse :)

The color is so luscious! Do you have some tips for knitting with silk? I never have been fond of it but love the look and luster.

I love that yarn! I want it! I just can't afford it! It is really beautiful. I can't wait to see it knit up!

Hi Stacey. I'm a new-ish reader of your blog, and I just love it! I haven't checked it for a week or so, and saw that you went to the HP premiere. I went to it, AND I brought my HP scarf to knit for that five hours of waiting time. Fun, fun, fun.

On another note, I love your projects and the way you present them and everything you do pertaining to knitting. Thanks for the great blog!

And I just noticed I posted that comment on the wrong blog entry. Kindly pretend it was on your latest one about Harry Potter. Thank you. ;-)

I'd do just about anything for my feline friend, but any time he gets near my yarn, it's go time!!! =)

The pink is SO pretty! I just love pink yarn.
