Warning...stash enhancing ahead!

TangledYoke_Yarncloseup.jpg

First let me ask, have you seen the latest Interweave Knits? If you don't already own a copy then you really need to go get one. It's Eunny Jang's first issue as editor of the magazine and so far, I am loving the fresh style that she has brought to my already favorite knitting magazine. With that being said, I found yarn in my stash to make her Tangled Yoke Cardigan. I only needed to buy 3 or 4 more skeins...and my local yarn shop of choice had the same dyelot! Bonus. (or as Jeni would say, Yahtzee!)

That wasn't the only project that I fell in love with though. I've been looking for a reason to pick up some Berroco Peruvia in the color Moonstone, and the Norah Gaughan designed cover sweater gave me the perfect reason. This sweater is knit on size US 10 needles, and I only needed 8 skeins. I'm hoping to start this one as soon as I'm finished with the Sienna Cardigan. It looks like the perfect sweater to wear this Fall! By the way, I'm hoping to have all the knitting done on my Sienna Cardigan this weekend. Wish me luck on seaming this sweater up, that's usually where I start to procrastinate!

I think the thing I like most about your blog is that you are so on top of the latest and greatest of everything. Thanks for the word on Interweave. Taking the bus to the bookstore now...

Yes, I really like both of those sweaters, too!

Dude, I've really got to get a subscription. Ooh, so Classic Silk works to gauge for the Tangled Yoke Cardigan? Love it. I guess I'll really have to get some now, hehe. I liked that Tilted Duster too. Are we knitting on Friday? If you're ready to seam, I can help get you started.

I'm making both of those, too! If I could only find the box with my ball winder...

yeah, seriously. a big woot woot to madame jang...she outdid herself.

I love the Classic Silk for the Tangled Yoke, that is a great idea. Of course, it has to be pink! I knit with the yarn and enjoyed making a clapotis (a way to big clap).

The peruvia looks oh so yummy. I have not seen this yarn but it looks great. The color is really inviting.

I am waiting for my store to receive the IK, but I am adding the subscription to my holiday list.

The color you picked for the cover sweater is great. I loved this issue too; lots of good stuff in there. It makes me hopeful for the direction the magazine is being taken :)

I also just acquired yarn for both of these projects. I also just finished seaming up Norah Gaughan's Sand Dollar Pullover from Knitting Nature. I never thought I'd get around to the seaming on that one since I also procrastinate with finishing up. Since I had such great projects waiting in the wings I was so excited to get it done. Hopefully it'll be the same for you!

Both yarns are beautiful!

OMGosh! I too just had the mag in my hands at my LYS and totally want to make the cover sweater also. The girls were opening up the new boxes of Peruvia while I was there. I love all of the colors! I can't wait!

I love the color you chose for the Tangled Yoke! I also LOVE this issue of IK. I'm so excited to see what the next issue brings, as well.

And I had never even heard of Peruvian! I've got to find some and give it a squeeze, it looks quite lush.

Really nice stash enhancement! I am considering the cover sweater too! The other project that caught my eye were those beautiful Arm Warmers/Gauntlets using the Blue Sky Alpaca... Nice Color work on those:)

I need to get this magazine! I've been thinking about a subscription...

Great colors for the sweaters you like :)

Good luck with the Sienna Cardigan. Can't wait to see it finished!

Had a grand time Tuesday at your LYS of choice. The bags were making my knees weak!

If that's classic Silk in the color "Rhubarb" I have a few skeins left from my last sweater, Stacey. Are you interested in them? I'd be glad to send them your way.

Beautiful yarn and I just adore the colors!

Ooh, the tangled yoke is my favorite design from the fall issue. I want to get started ASAP, but I have to finish all the stuff in progress first. Sigh, when will I learn?

Stacey, do you have a subscription? Finally yesterday was the first day I saw it at the bookstore and bought it. Another really grreat issue and worth the wait!
