I've been sick and at home for the past 2 days. Bleck. I hate being sick, but at least I've been able to knit a little and clean up around my house. This guy has been my constant companion. What a sweetie!
I've got big plans this weekend. RayLynn is coming into town! Yay! Then I have Monday off from work for MLK Day. Double Yay! I'm planning on getting some serious knitting done on Sunday and Monday. Expect to hear about some finished projects very soon!
Before I go to take a nap, let me tell you a funny story. I'm sitting up in my loft, knitting, looking through Ravelry, writing this blog post when all of a sudden I hear this strange plopping noise followed by a sizzling bubble sound. What in the world? Good grief. My cell phone fell off the side of the couch and into my glass of Cherry Coke. Crap. I rush to dry it off and get every little bit of liquid off the thing and it still works. That was a close one. What are the odds of my phone falling directly into my full glass of cherry coke?! Okay, must go take a rest now.

Posted by: bea at January 18, 2008 04:00 PMAwwww... at least you've got a good snuggler to keep you company while you aren't feeling great.
Posted by: Michelle at January 18, 2008 04:27 PMMmm. Cherry coke. Everyone wants some, even your cell phone. Jesse looks so awful cute all snuggled up with the piddleloop bag.
Posted by: cyn at January 18, 2008 07:26 PMOh no! Well, I hope you are feeling better soon and I really hope you don't have whatever swept through our house.
((hugs)) At least you have Jessie to keep you company :)
Have fun with RayLynn!

Posted by: Christy at January 18, 2008 07:46 PMI can't believe your phone still works! Jesse is such a cutie in that picture. Where is Jordy, still hiding under stuff? Alice asked Mom why he's living at your house now the other day, I was cracking up. She knows how to call it! Hope you feel better soon and have fun with RayRay this weekend!
Posted by: Whitney at January 18, 2008 07:58 PMJesse is so cute...that alone must make you feel better! Hope you are well enough to get in some good girlfriend time with RayLynn.
Posted by: julie at January 18, 2008 10:30 PMHey, if you want company on MLK day, let me know. I'm off too. Say hi to RayLynn if I don't see her tomorrow.
Posted by: Wanda at January 18, 2008 10:48 PMGreat photo. Feel better soon. :)
Posted by: Emily at January 19, 2008 03:22 AMCats are always the perfect nurses. You can always tell when you are on the mend (sometimes before you actually feel much better) because then they become holy little terrors.
Jesse is quite sweet, though. Doesn't look like a terror at all. :)
Posted by: shannon in oregon at January 19, 2008 09:33 AMI hope you are feeling better after all the cell phone excitement! You must be better in case the baby decides she's ready for her debut. :)
Posted by: Stacie at January 19, 2008 12:11 PMHope you feel better. My cell phone ended up in our garbage disposal. I kept calling it but it had been soaked. Even better, I found it when my husband turned on the disposal - crunch, crunch, crunch. If it didn't cost me $$ to replace the darn thing, it would have been funny.
Here's a giggle for you.
My father-in-law owns a 36 foot boat. He has a canvas cover that goes over a good portion of it to keep out the weather. He decides to put the cover on before winter. So, he walks on the narrow edging of the boat, like he has 100's of times, putting the canvas on. And he has a moment of imbalance and splashes into the water. Fully clothed. With his cell phone in his pocket. A cell phone that he's owned for less than 2 weeks. His first concern? The cell phone, not the disease-borne water he fell into. He got a replacement for free, only because the gal at the store felt sorry for him and told a little fib to the main company.
Posted by: Karen at January 19, 2008 09:32 PMAwwwww. He's so cute on his sheepy pillow! Hope you feel better!
Does your phone smell like Cherry Coke, now? Yum!
Posted by: laurie at January 20, 2008 12:49 PMHope you are feeling better!!! I was home with a sick kiddo this week, so I feel your pain, in a way. Hopefully a long weekend will do us all some good!
