My week...

Here are a few of the highlights that have happened in the last week since I posted. I have got to get back into regular posting. Seriously!

I got a haircut. Nice and short for the summer...I love it!

Last night I got to meet Larissa Brown, the author of the book Knitalong. I've been reading her blog for years. It was great to finally meet her in person!

I've been spending lots of time cleaning up my stash. I think it's more that I just love spending time playing with yarn and dreaming of what it's going to be made into. I sit up in my loft, looking through pattern books, staring at the wall 'o yarn. When it's all cleaned up and organized...it makes me happy.

I have been doing a little bit of stashing too. Not that I ever need to buy anymore yarn, EVER! Some of this was bought a while ago...and I just haven't confessed , i mean, shown you. From left to right it's Elsbeth Lavold Hempathy in a deep rich orange, Malabrigo Silky Merino in the color Sunny Lime, and Noro Taiyo. All of these yarns were purchased at Colorful Yarns. (by the way, she's having a Memorial Day sale...and I'll be there all day tomorrow...come see me!)

I've been hanging out over on my sisters back patio alot this past week. It's so comfortable out there...and the niece and nephew agree!

Have a great long weekend! I am hoping to actually get my knitting mojo back. I need to show you all some more finished projects...plus I'd really like to wear some of them this summer!

*no updates on my Dad yet...but thanks again and again for all the encouragement you all give me. The emails, the prayers, and all the silent support means the world to me and my whole family.*

Man...I'd totally hang out and knit in your fiber room. I especially love the flowery buckets at top.

Miss Sexy with your new hair dew! I love it! I need to get you back in my yarn room for some more organizing. Your stash is looking quite delicious these days. I must come over and touch it. Just don't leave me unsupervised. There will be lots of empty cubbies if you do. LOL!

Wow! Your stash is a work of art! I'd love to have a room like that for knitting.

Your yarn room looks like a store! Love the new haircut. I'm keeping your family in my thoughts.

What a beautiful stash! It looks like a LYS that specializes in reds and pinks.

Drooling over your yarn/book stash...

If my stash was that pretty I would never leave the room.

Posted by: Stephanie at May 24, 2008 05:21 AM

wow, do you really think it is healthy for statsh to be that neat and pretty? that type of organization puts yarn stores to shame!

Posted by: Milly at May 24, 2008 07:52 AM

I love your haircut. So fabulous and sassy!

I am so jealous of your stash. Not the amount, but how neat and pretty it looks. I may have to re-organize mine. You inspire me :-)

Love the cut...so cute!

I love how organized your stash is. BTW, what's that watermelon colored yarn third cube from the bottom (right above the basket on the table)?

Your Knit Nook is a very happy looking spot indeed. I think that should definitely provide hours of inspiration.

Thanks for the word on your dad. I've been thinking/prayer for him and all your family - but didn't want to ask. *Continued Hugs*

Good to see you and with a smile too!

Tell me, how do you protect your stash from the moths since all of it is out in the open! No really...I want to know! Please e-mail me! :o) Thx!

Oh! Oh! I *adore* your space. It is so perfect. How do you ever manage to leave that room?

Posted by: Cher at May 26, 2008 01:49 PM

Your stash is fabulous!

Posted by: sam at June 2, 2008 07:40 PM

Your organized yarn and books looks like a yarn shop! I smile with every project I see you queuing on Ravelry. Now I see you collect not only "to do" patterns but printed ones and the yarn to go with them as well.

We're buying a house with a corner I'd like to make into my "yarn nook." You've just inspired me on the "how to."
