This is going to be a quick post because I really need to head to bed. I also need to not start Breaking Dawn, even though I really want to...I have an early flight in the morning. My family is all headed to my cousins wedding in Oklahoma City. Alice is going to be a flower girl! There will be lots of photos and stories on Monday, I'm sure! I wanted to share my finished shrug with you all before I go though. I love how it turned out! I can tell that I'll enjoy wearing this in the coming cooler months. (the alpaca, wool, and silk content is a little hot for August, don't ya think?)
The pattern: Bulky Shrug by Knitting Pure & Simple
The yarn: 5 skeins of Araucania Limari in color #562.
The needles: KA Switch bamboo US #11 and 10.5 for the ribbing
Alterations: The only thing that I did was knit it a little longer than they suggested so that I would have better coverage in the front.
Button: I have it picked out and ready...it's just not sewn on yet. This project is still an FO though!
Happy weekend...and get ready to start those Olympic knitting projects!! I'll share more about my own Olympic projects soon. Think works in progress. It's time to knock out a few FO's over here!
