Let the knitting begin!

Knitting and reading

I took my blanket strip (for Alice's Olive blanket) on the trip to Oklahoma City. It's one of the works in progress that I'm going to try and finish up during the Olympics. Since the trip was so quick...less than 24 hours in Oklahoma...I didn't get to knit that much, but I made a little progress. The picture below might have had something to do with why I didn't get much knit or read on the plane. Gotta love entertaining kids on a flight! He's just so cute though...I can't stay frustrated. Look at that face!

Look, it's a picture

Sunday morning, I just lazed around the house, knitting, reading, watching some Olympic basketball (USA vs. China, go USA!). But I was definitely torn between finishing Breaking Dawn and knitting/watching basketball. This is where my TiVo comes to the rescue. I love my TiVo. I recorded the games...went back to reading and knitting. Gotta love days like that. I'll have some big news on the Red Afghan front tomorrow. The squares have been coming in and they look amazing!!

Divided loyalties...
*the green dream in color shrug is also a knitting olympics project. It's more than half done...so it's definitely getting finished!*

That Breaking Dawn (well the entire series, actually) completely got my knitting off-track! Now that I'm done, I can finish a few WIPs. Good luck with yours.

Liam looks so much like you as a kid in that pic. I still see it in the eyes. He loves his Stacey. Thanks so much for helping with him on the flight!!!

My square...can it be the last one in the blanket?!?!!! I am working on it. I'm the slowest knitter in the world. Is that an event?

So sorry your OKC trip was so short. We have a great group at one of the LYS, Gourmet Yarn Co, and would have loved a visit. Next time you are going to be in the area, let me know and I'll happily be your guide. I just finished the "book" so I know where you are. It wasn't my favorite of the four, what do you think? Bev in OKC!

I can't wait to see that Afghan, until when are you accepting knitted squares?

I've been in love with my TIVO for years, I just don't know what I'd do without it 8-)
